Sally Chapman-Evans
Fantastic wife & soul mate to Trev, mum to Lewis,Step mum to Matt
Died 27th April 2007 aged 43
Sally was a fantastic woman. She had a lion's heart. We were together for
11 wonderful years. Sally was a loving, caring, outgoing woman who always had
time for her huge number of friends and her lovely family. She was the lynchpin
of the family organising family get togethers and never forgot a birthday.
Whenever a friend was in need of help or support, Sally was first there with
love and flowers.
I loved her like I have loved no other. Her honesty, integrity and passion for
life was incredible. You always knew where you stood with my beautiful wife.
In June 2004 Sally was diagnosed with lung cancer. She never smoked. By
Christmas we knew there was no hope of a cure. In typical fashion Sally decided
to try every possible drug option and survived without major issues until April
2007. She died peacefully in a wonderful hospice. During her battle we had been
a month in Australia and holidayed in europe several times. In June 2005 she
stood in front of 10000 people at the BlackHeath Race for Life and gave a
fantastic heartfelt speech. During her illness she never complained once. She
kept in touch with all her pals even on the last day of her life !!!! What an
amazing woman which of course makes it incredibly hard to live without her.
Her inspiration drives us all on !
New TributeTributes to Sally
There have been 3 tributes left for Sally.
Maureen (Friend) April 27, 2008, 12:00 amTo my best friend - One year on
It's been a year since you have been gone
But my memories of you still go on.
Our days of dancing the nights away
And seeing the chippendales were our kind of play.
A friend I could turn to in good times and bad
A friend that always made me see the bright side when I felt sad
A friend I miss so much but when I look up and see the brightest star
I know you are looking down on us from afar.
That's when I see your smiling face
And the world once again becomes a happier place. (Memories)
I will always cherish the friendship we had.
Missing you
Love always
Mo xxxxxxxx
